We sat down with the North Long Beach native to discuss his musical journey, collaborations, and what the future holds for him.
Q: When did you start making music, and what drew you to the hip hop genre?
A: I started my musical journey back in 2001. Growing up in North Long Beach, hip hop was the soundtrack of my life. The raw energy, storytelling, and social commentary that the genre offered resonated deeply with me. I was captivated by the boom bap sound and the art of sampling, as well as the creative process of crafting original beats.
Q: Could you tell us about the groups you’ve been a part of, such as The Hustle Holix and UndaCla$$?
A: Being part of The Hustle Holix was a formative experience for me. It was where I honed my skills as a producer and rapper, collaborating with like-minded individuals who shared my passion for hip hop. UndaCla$$, my other group, was a partnership with the talented artist Konsept. Together, we created two incredible albums, “M. K. U. L T. R. A” and “Kill The Middle,” which showcased our dynamic chemistry and unique sonic blend.
Q: You’ve worked with several local artists, including Musa Dia, Solo Da Secret, and Lyrics By Caine. Can you tell us about those collaborations?
A: Collaborating with local artists has been a rewarding experience. Working with Musa Dia, Solo Da Secret, and Lyrics By Caine allowed me to explore different styles and push the boundaries of my creativity. Their unique perspectives and talents brought a fresh dimension to my music, and it was an honor to have them contribute to my projects.

A: North Long Beach is a vibrant and diverse community with a rich cultural heritage. It’s a place that has its own rhythm and stories to tell. Growing up here, I was exposed to various experiences, both positive and challenging, which shaped my lyrical content and production style. The neighborhood’s energy and resilience continue to inspire me to create authentic music that reflects our shared experiences.
Q: As a label owner, how has your journey been in managing your own music career?
A: Establishing my own label has been both exhilarating and challenging. It has given me the freedom to control my artistic direction and release music on my terms. However, it also requires a tremendous amount of dedication, organization, and business acumen. I’ve had to wear many hats, from artist to manager, but the satisfaction of building something meaningful and supporting other talented artists is truly rewarding.
Q: You recently released your first solo album, “Crime Beach.” Can you share your inspiration behind this project?
A: “Crime Beach” is a reflection of my personal experiences and observations growing up in North Long Beach. It delves into the struggles, triumphs, and complexities of life in the neighborhood. The album serves as a homage to my roots while also shedding light on social issues that resonate beyond our community. It was a cathartic and transformative journey, and I’m grateful for the positive response it has received.
Q: What can fans expect from your collaboration with UndaCla$$ and your plans for the future?
A: Working with UndaCla$$ has been an incredible creative partnership. We share a vision for pushing the boundaries of hip hop and creating thought-provoking music.
